I don’t understand these kind of things. If you want equality and you don’t want to be thought of as “different” for being a part of the LGBT community, why do you need products and labels separating you from those who aren’t? Shouldn’t you want to be treated equal— without special treatment?

Yes we do want to be treated equal, but the truth is-we aren’t. There are still many people who don’t see us as equal, as something abnormal and not right. Prejudice against the LGBTQ community is still prominent. Can you imagine walking down the street, holding hands with your boyfriend or girlfriend and being called a fag or a dyke. Or being assaulted for being gay or transgendered. Yes, we want equality, but until we get that we need to keep making labels like this.
